We live in a culture where teen suicide is all too prevalent, devastating families and communities. This seminar is designed to provide educational help for pastors, ministry leaders and lay leaders who care for youth. In our time together, we will examine up-to-date data on teen depression and suicide. You will glean empathic awareness of what someone feels when hurting this way, learn how to effectively respond to and support depressed students, and be informed of proper next steps if suicidality is a factor. Expect to role-play difficult scenarios and walk away with crucial information and practical tools for ministering to hurting teens.
