Sexual misconduct is a significant issue and highly damaging practice in the church, ministry and helping professions. A large number of lawsuits are filed for sexual misconduct. Most, if not all ministry leaders and therapists, will be tempted to engage in sexual misconduct. Fortunately, just as the appropriate inoculation reduces the incidence of certain diseases, the incidence of sexual misconduct falls dramatically when appropriate training is provided. This presentation is designed to give you an inoculation against sexual misconduct. It addresses the factors that make sexual misconduct more likely, the moral, ethical, and legal implications of sexual misconduct, and its harmful effects on congregants and clients. Ministry leaders will learn practical steps to avoid such conduct.
Lunch is included at no charge (donations towards cost are welcome); registration required.
