Counselor | Willow Grove Office

Theron Huff, LPC specializes in helping people with depression, anxiety, trauma, spiritual questions and career transitions and is particularly experienced in working with young adults, adolescents and people of color.

Theron graduated with a BA from the University of Virginia in 2003. He graduated with honors with his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Biblical Theological Graduate School of Counseling in 2018. He is a member of the American Counseling Association. Theron is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and has completed training with the Global Trauma Recovery Institute. His preferred methods of counseling include narrative, cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, psychodynamic, and motivational interviewing.

Theron is an active learner and intentionally has an eclectic approach to counseling so he can be effective in caring for the whole person. Through his work with Young Life, Theron has worked with young adults, teenagers, and their families for over 15 years and is particularly adept at engaging adolescent culture. He completed his internships at 2200 Arch Counseling Services and Vision For Your Life Executive Coaching. His training comes from a Christian influenced perspective.

As someone who has served in a ministry position for over 15 years, Theron has a deep appreciation for the struggles, loneliness and doubts many people in ministry experience. He considers it a privilege and honor to sit with people as they walk through difficult seasons and, by the grace of God, grow more deeply as emotionally and spiritually healthy leaders.

Theron lives in Philadelphia and spends a lot of time with his young daughter, son, and wife and takes advantage of what the city has to offer, seeking to be an active member of his community and church. He enjoys engaging people in difficult situations, reading, writing, film, logic problems, chess and anything athletic. He is always looking for a great conversation and great food, preferably together.
