Chris Torchia, LPC specializes in areas of sexual addiction, identity issues, relational difficulties, theological formation and spiritual growth. He is passionate about seeing hurting people met with the mercy and truth of the Gospel in a relevant and transformative way.
In addition to his work at ServingLeaders, Chris serves as the Parents and Family Ministry Coordinator at Harvest USA where he cares for individuals, families, and ministry leaders impacted by sexual issues, and equips ministry leaders to better care for members struggling in their congregations.
Chris completed his Master of Arts in Counseling at Westminster Theological Seminary and finished his training at Missio Seminary in the Certificate of Advanced Professional Counseling program. He also completed a counseling internship at the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF) under the personal supervision of Dr. Ed Welch. Chris holds a BA in Intercultural Studies from Lancaster Bible College.
Chris has a love for people which makes his approach to counseling highly relational and person centered. He believes safety, trust, and transparency are essential to a productive working relationship. Apart from his work in counseling Chris led a breakdance ministry for over 10 years that focused on performing outreach, teaching, and mentoring youth. He enjoys traveling, exercise, family, and getting to know people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
